DECLAMATION COMPETITION ON “CONSTITUTIONAL VALUES AND SOCIAL EQUALITY” ORGANISED

Raipur Rani, 24 February 2026: The Departments of Political Science, Sociology and English jointly organized an Inter-Departmental Declamation Competition on the topic “Constitutional Values and Social Equality” in the college Lecture Theatre -1 . The event aimed at promoting awareness about constitutional principles and encouraging students to articulate their views on social justice and equality. The programme began with a formal welcome by Dr. Inderjot, who greeted the participants and highlighted the relevance of the topic in the present democratic framework. The Principal, Aprajita, motivated the students to participate actively in such academic platforms, stating that understanding constitutional values is essential for responsible citizenship and nation-building. Participants delivered impactful and well-structured speeches reflecting deep understanding of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity. The competition was judged by Dr. Capt. Shweta Sharma, Dr. Ritu Atwal, and Dr. Deepak Hooda, who assessed the contestants on content, clarity, confidence, and presentation skills. Dr. Sunil Dutt Sharma efficiently conducted the stage proceedings and ensured the smooth execution of the programme. Dr. Yashveer, Dr. Joginder, and Dr. Rohit Bhullar maintained discipline and attendance throughout the event. Professor Pooja Sabharwal and Dr. Mandeep Kaur also graced the occasion and appreciated the efforts of the participants. In the final results, Nishu from B.Com III secured the First Position with an impressive and thought-provoking speech. Deepshikha and Ekta shared the Second Position, while Seema from B.A. III secured the Third Position. The event concluded on a note of appreciation and encouragement, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to fostering democratic values and intellectual growth among students.
